Bloom meets Richie Goulding heading into the Ormond to get something to eat and decides to join him. Bloom wonders why Boylan has not left to meet Molly. Jingle a tinkle jaunted and Boylan leaves. Ben Dollard sings Love and War and Simon Dedalus sings Martha. Blazes Boylan travels up the hill by the Rotunda and into Dorset St. Bloom hastily writes a reply to Martha Clifford and leaves the bar as Ben Dollard sings the Croppy Boy.
