Copy of 10 September 1904 letter from James Joyce to Nora Barnacle

This is one of the two known letters written by Joyce from the Tower in which he asks Nora to forgive him for the pain he caused her. He and Nora Barnacle met in June 1904 and left Ireland together on 8 October. Photostat given by Cornell University Library.
