Two Worlds Monthly, Vol 1 No 1, 1926

Although Ulysses was banned in the USA, Samuel Roth published this pirated version with the offending passages removed and with a brazen dedication to James Joyce. Joyce launched a petition in protest, which was signed by 167 world-famous authors. Roth continued to serialise Ulysses and was eventually restrained by an injunction. Acquired for the Joyce Tower by ERTO.
