The Resurrection of Hungary by Arthur Griffith, first edition 1904

The publication of The Resurrection of Hungary in 1904 made Arthur Griffith a national figure and laid the foundations for Sinn Fein’s policy. Joyce alludes to the pamphlet on a number of occasions in Ulysses. Arthur Griffith stayed in the Sandycove Martello Tower with Oliver St John Gogarty in 1904. Donated by Des Gunning.
