Portals of Discovery – Exploring riddles, errors and puzzles in the work of James Joyce presented by Dr Alice Ryan, Curator Joyce Tower Museum.

To mark James Joyce’s birthday, this lecture will analysis the intricate world of word play, puns and riddles in Joyce’s oeuvre, exploring how they contribute to a participatory process where readers are engaged in finding and attempting to solve the enigmas posed by the text.

The lecture will be followed by a short recital by Morgan Cooke on Joyce’s piano on the top floor of the library (Level 5) in Room 2.
